Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American writer of cook books over the decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina began her career working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual rigors of her job, but quickly lost interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. It took her 18 years to make the store extremely successful prior to selling it and picking up the pen and writing her first book. Numerous magazines and cookbooks came later. The Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. She also sells a range of products ranging from cooking supplies as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina was never to any cooking academy and has never been employed in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known.
