In her teens She began her professional singing career with the R&B group B2K. She falsely claimed that she was the "cousin of B2K rapper Lil Fizz. Sail Out The Worst Uh Huh and Why I Like You were among her top tracks. Cherry Pie, a song in the 2002 film The Master of Disguise was her first song she sang as playback vocals. Her former boyfriend ORyans' debut music video, Take It Slow, featured her. Her main genres are R&B Hip-Hop & Rap. her track, 3:16 AM which was released by the popular publishing company A&R gained her recognition. The song was released through iTunes as a download. The song gained international recognition after she was invited by Canadian rapper Drake for a contribution to Drake's album Nothing Was the same. The Worst was the top-selling single in US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop-Airplay in May 2014. It was also at the top 11 spot for Hot R&B/Hip-Hop.
