Hayley Orrantia is an American performer, actress and songwriter. She is best known as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". However, she considers herself primarily a musician. It is the first thing that interests her. She has been dabbling in since the age of nine years old. When she was 12, she took music seriously enough to begin professional training. In 2013, she picked on songwriting and produced her first album. Since then, she has not stopped since then. Orrantia is a native American and has Hispanic roots. She's proud of her fact that she has Hispanic origins, although she was raised speaking English exclusively and has never lived in Mexico. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs, she strives to preserve the tradition. One of her attempts was a Spanish track titled "Hasta Verte..' Orrantia auditioned for The X Factor in 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was picked and she got four "yeses", or votes for the judges during the Seattle audition. Her initial audition was to be a part of "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. However, three other women singers and she were put together to audition for the remaining music. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the Live program.
