Hayley Orantia is an American actress, musician and acrobat. Many people recognize her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. She considers herself to be an artist first and foremost. At the age of 9 of age, she began exploring music. The first time she began to study professional music when she was 12 years old. When she was 13 She began to write her own music. The first album she released as a cover was released fourteen years later. Since then, she has not stopped since then. Orrantia was born in the USA, yet has Hispanic roots. Although she spoke only English throughout her childhood and never visited Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic background. Through studying Spanish and writing songs, she is trying to keep the culture alive. One of her attempts was an original Spanish track titled "Hasta Verte..' Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia, who was initially picked from YouTube videos and received the four "yeses," from judges at Seattle at the time of live auditions. Her initial audition was to be a part of "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. However, three other female vocalists as well as her were put together to audition other tracks. The group was eliminated at the fifth week of live shows.
